The reader: "And it is not upon the believer, nor is it permissible for him, to demand of the messengers the clarification of the aspects of benefits and harms; rather, it is upon him to obey them".

The Shaykh : This is very important. The rule is: it is not upon the Muslim, nor is it permissible for him, to demand of the messengers the clarification of benefits and harms, because if he demanded that of them, he would not believe except in what his desires direct him to. Rather, it is obligatory for him to submit to the obedience of the messengers, and not to ask "why," let alone say: "It is obligatory for him to know the wisdom." Yes.
The reader: "Rather, it is upon him to obey them. Allah the Exalted said:
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. وما أرسلنا من رسولٍ إلا ليطاع بإذن الله
[An-Nisa 4:64]
And He said:
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah من يطع الرسول فقد أطاع الله
[An-Nisa 4:80]
, and the rights of the prophets lie in honoring them and revering them"
.

The Shaykh : ... except to be obeyed, meaning this is the wisdom. Allah the Exalted did not send the messengers so that people would disobey them and reject them, but so that they would obey them. So whoever disobeys has contradicted this great wisdom. Yes.
The reader: "And the rights of the prophets lie in honoring them and revering them, and loving them with a love that takes precedence over the self, family, and wealth, and preferring their obedience and following their Sunnah, and the like of those rights, in which one who fulfills them does not worship them or associate partners with them. Just as most of those who associate with them, whether major or minor shirk, abandon what is obligatory upon them of their obedience to the extent of the shirk they have innovated with them. And likewise, the rights of the righteous friends (awliya) are love and reverence, and the like of those rights that the Book and the Sunnah brought, and upon which the Salaf of the Ummah were.
And the jurists have differed regarding prayer in the cemetery: is it forbidden or disliked? And if it is said: it is forbidden, does it remain valid despite the prohibition or not?
And the well-known view among us is that it is forbidden and not valid, and whoever examines the preceding texts"

The Shaykh : I have a missing part.
The reader: He says: from here until he says: "And whoever examines the texts" a line is missing from manuscript T.

The Shaykh : I have a missing part, or is it disliked, what comes after it?
The reader: "Is it forbidden or disliked, and if it is said it is forbidden"

The Shaykh :"And if it is said it is forbidden"
The Reciter: Yes.

The Shaykh : Complete it, go back.
The reader: "Does it remain valid despite the prohibition or not?"

The Shaykh : Or not.
The reciter: Heard.

The Shaykh : Or not, yes.
The reader: "And the well-known view among us is that it is forbidden and not valid"

The Shaykh : Yes.
The reader: Also, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : I have "not valid and whoever examines"
The reader: "And whoever examines the preceding texts"
