Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon the noblest of the prophets and messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
As for what follows: The Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Iqtida' al-Sirat al-Mustaqim: "And included in this is what is done in Egypt at the grave of al-Nafisa and others, and what is done in Iraq at the grave said to be the grave of 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), the grave of al-Husayn, Hudhayfa ibn al-Yaman, and Salman al-Farisi, and the grave of Musa ibn Ja'far, and Muhammad ibn 'Ali al-Jawad in Baghdad, and at the grave of Ahmad ibn Hanbal, and Ma'ruf al-Karkhi, and others, and what is done at the grave of Abu Yazid al-Bistami, and similar things were done in Bahrain at a grave called the grave of al-Ansari".

The Shaykh : grave.
The reader: "called the grave of al-Ansari, to many graves, in most of the lands of Islam, which cannot be enumerated.
As they built mosques on many of them, and some are usurped, as they built on the grave of Abu Hanifa and al-Shafi'i and others"
.

The Shaykh : and others.
The reader: Is it correct, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, the ya before it is doubled.
The reader: "As they built on the grave of Abu Hanifa and al-Shafi'i and others, and these noble scholars among the imams, it is only befitting to love them and follow them, and to revive what they revived of the religion".

The Shaykh : Allah is the Greatest.
The reader: "and to supplicate for them with forgiveness, mercy, and pleasure, and the like. As for taking their graves as festivals, that is what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden. And the habit of intending these graves at a specific time, or the general gathering at them at a specific time, is taking them as a festival, as mentioned before.
And I do not know of any disagreement among the scholars of the Muslims regarding this, and one should not be deceived by the multitude of corrupt customs, for this is imitating the People of the Book, about whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us that it would occur in this Ummah. And the origin of that is only the belief in the virtue of supplication at them; otherwise, if this belief did not exist in the hearts, all of that would be erased. So if intending them for supplication leads to these harms, it is forbidden, like praying at them, and even more so. And that is a trial for the creation, and an opening of the door of shirk (associating partners with Allah), and a closing of the door of faith"
