What is your response to the statement of al-Akhtal that the Asha'irah used as evidence in denying speech?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... Shaykh

The Shaykh : Yes, this is the last question.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : Raise your hand, the one who... says, "I am... the one in front of you, give it to him."

The questioner : It is me, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is you, because that one raised his hand at first and then did not raise it again.

The questioner : The Asha'irah say that speech for Allah is the meaning that subsists in Himself.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : They cite the statement of the poet as evidence.
"Indeed, speech is in the heart, and the heart was made a sign for the tongue" and the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He
and say among themselves
[Al-Mujadila 58:8]
How do we respond to these proofs?

The Shaykh : Yes. As for the first, it is the speech of a madman or the speech of a Christian, and it is not considered. As for the second, the meaning of the statement "speech is in the heart" is that the true, valid speech is what originates from the heart. As for the speech of a madman, a raving person, or the like, that is not speech. The heart conceives it first, and then the tongue expresses it. But are the conceptions of the heart considered speech? No, the man has not yet spoken. For this reason, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Allah, the Most High, has forgiven my followers what they contemplate on within themselves
Bulugh al-Maram 8:133
What is it?
as long as such thoughts are not put into action or uttered
Sahih al-Bukhari 5269
So the Messenger did not make the talk of the heart speech. The response to this is from two angles.
First, it is the speech of a Christian, and there is no proof in his statement.
And second, he meant by his statement that the true, valid speech is what the heart conceived first and then the tongue spoke second. And what the tongue did not speak is not speech. The evidence is the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
Allah, the Most High, has forgiven my followers what they contemplate on within themselves (i.e. evil thoughts) as long as they do not act upon or speak about them.
Bulugh al-Maram 8:133
As for His saying, the Exalted
and say among themselves
[Al-Mujadila 58:8]
here the statement is qualified. He said
say among themselves, "Why does Allah not punish us for what we say?"
[Al-Mujadila 58:8]
and not. If He had said "And they say," would not Allah punish us? Does this mean by the heart or by the tongue? By the tongue. The time is up.
The reader: "And we believe that His words are the most perfect words in truth in reporting, in justice in judgments, and in beauty in speech. Allah the Exalted said
And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice
[Al-An'am 6:115]
And He said
And who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:87]
And we believe that the Noble Qur'an is the speech of Allah the Exalted"

The Shaykh : The Qur'an, this is...
And who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:87]
...
But who is better than Allah in judgement
[Al-Ma'idah 5:50]

The student: ... the most truthful

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: the most truthful...

The Shaykh :
and who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:122]

The student: a hadith... a hadith, O Shaykh

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: and a hadith

The Shaykh : Good, yes.
The reader: "And we believe that"

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : how
The student: ... cause... man

The Shaykh : How many do I have in Surat al-Insan? Seventy-seven.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh :
and who ومن

The student:
And who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:87]

The Shaykh : It does not contain "And who is better than Allah in speech"
The student: No

The Shaykh : No,
and who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:122]

The student: in speech to a people who are certain

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student:
And who is more truthful than Allah in statement.
[An-Nisa 4:87]

The Shaykh : And who is better than Allah in speech?
The student: to a people who are certain, no, judgment,
in judgement for a people who are certain [in faith].
[Al-Ma'idah 5:50]

The Shaykh : judgment to a people who are certain
The student: ... and who is better than Allah in speech

The Shaykh : This is
(87) Allah - there is no deity except Him. He will surely assemble you for [account on] the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than Allah in statement. (88) What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance].
[An-Nisa 4:87-88]

The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: And who is more truthful in the Qur'an...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: And who is more truthful in the Qur'an...

The Shaykh : No, I want the verse "And who is better than Allah in speech" with this wording. Reflect on it so that we can verify it later, because we said "and better." Yes, "and in justice in judgments and in beauty in speech" Okay, yes.
The reader: "And we believe that the Noble Qur'an is the speech of Allah the Exalted. He spoke with it truly and cast it to Jibril, so Jibril brought it down upon the heart of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth قل نزله روح القدس من ربك بالحق
[An-Nahl 16:102]
(192) And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. (193) The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down (194) Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - (195) In a clear Arabic language.
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:192-195]
And we believe that Allah, Mighty and Majestic"
