How do we respond to those who say that affirming the Exaltedness of Allah the Exalted necessitates that Allah is in a limited direction?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The rational evidence says that the first thing to be discussed is that they are told: Is the Exaltedness an attribute of perfection or an attribute of deficiency?

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : ... The intellect says that it is an attribute of perfection.

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: But they say if you said the Exaltedness is an attribute of deficiency for Allah (Mighty and Majestic)

The Shaykh : It does not become so

The questioner : They say you have placed Him in one direction

The Shaykh : No, absolutely not. We say He is in a direction and encompasses all directions, because the seven heavens and the seven earths are in the palm of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) like a mustard seed in one of your palms. The Exaltedness is absolute Exaltedness; a space in which there is nothing equal to Him or parallel to Him; a space in which there is nothing. And the space, as the Shaykh al-Islam said, is the reality of the space: non-existence. There is nothing existing except Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Yes.
