This is the height of justice and fairness: that he himself will account for himself based on what? Based on what is in his book.
So we believe in the scrolls, and that people will be given their books either in the right hand or in the left.
And reflect on what is in Surat al-Haqqah:[Al-Haqqah 69:19] He shows it to people, boasting with it and speaking of Allah’s favor upon him. [Al-Haqqah 69:25] He wishes that he had not been given it, and that people had not seen it, or not? People will not see it, because it is disgrace and shame, may Allah protect us from that.

وكل إنسان(13) And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open. (14) [It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant."
وكل إنسان ألزمناه طائره في عنقه ونخرج له يوم القيامة كتابا يلقاه منشورا * اقرأ كتابك كفى بنفسك اليوم حسيبا[It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant."
اقرأ كتابك كفى بنفسك اليوم عليك حسيباSo we believe in the scrolls, and that people will be given their books either in the right hand or in the left.
