The Shaykh :And when he says: Yours is the Day of Judgment, Allah says: My servant has praised Me. And when he says: You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help, Allah says: This is between Me and My servant, and he gets half of it. And when he says: Guide us to the straight path, Allah the Exalted says: This is for My servant, and My servant gets what he asked for.
وإذا قال : مالك يوم الدين قال الله : مجدني عبدي وإذا قال : إياك نعبد واياك نستعين قال الله : هذا بيني وبين عبدي نصفين فإذا قال : اهدنا الصراط المستقيم قال الله تعالى : هذا لعبدي ولعبدي ما سأل
It is a direct supplication, a statement and a response. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who is praying is in conversation with his Lord.
