What is the ruling on a conditional statement regarding a description or state?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you, is a conditional statement permissible?

The Shaykh : A statement?

The questioner : For example, saying, "So-and-so, if he dies in this state, he is in the Fire, considering that he is a disbeliever."

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed.

The questioner : Because the one who...

The Shaykh : There is nothing wrong with this, there is nothing wrong with it, a conditional statement. But I say it has no benefit, because you might make a condition and a person who does not understand the condition hears you and becomes certain. There is no need for that. Even cursing a disbeliever if he dies a disbeliever, do we curse him? We do not curse him, because if he is a disbeliever, he has already been cursed, and if he is not a disbeliever, we are safe from him.

The questioner : Shaykh, it might be said to clarify that what one does, for example, is disbelief.

The Shaykh : That does not contradict [the ruling].

The questioner : It is obligatory.

The Shaykh : I say that everything a disbeliever does, and this negligent person, if he dies in this state in which he is, he is a disbeliever, and a disbeliever is from the people of the Fire, so I say that.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
