حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ * وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّThey said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are [great] corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?"

He will say: Here I am, at Your service! Then a voice will call out: Indeed, Allah commands you to bring forth from your offspring a group for the Fire. He will say: O my Lord! And who is the group for the Fire? He will say: From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine. This was distressing to the Companions, and they said: O Messenger of Allah, who is that one?
أن الله يقول يوم القيامة: يا ءادم، فيقول: لبيك وسعديك، فيُنادي بصوت: إن الله يأمرك أن تخرج من ذريتك بعثاً إلى النار، فقال: يا رب! وما بعث النار؟ قال: من كل ألف تسعمائة وتسعة وتسعين، فشق ذلك على الصحابة وقالوا: يا رسول الله، أينا ذلك الواحد؟Rejoice, for you are among two nations, or he said: between two nations, which are not few in number: Gog and Magog.
أبشروا، فإنكم في أمتين أو قال: بين أمتين ما كانتا في شيء إلا كثرتاه يأجوج ومأجوجUntil when he reached the place where the sun rises, he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made any covering against it. Thus, and We had encompassed with knowledge what was with him. Then he followed a path. Until when he reached between the two mountains, he found therefrom a people who hardly understood speech. They said, O Dhu al-Qarnayn, Gog and Magog are spreading corruption in the land. Shall we assign you an expense in order that you make a barrier between us and them?
حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ الشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهَا سِتْرًا * كَذَلِكَ وَقَدْ أَحَطْنَا بِمَا لَدَيْهِ خُبْرًا * ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ سَبَبًا * حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ بَيْنَ السَّدَّيْنِ وَجَدَ مِنْ دُونِهِمَا قَوْمًا لا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ قَوْلًا * قَالُوا يَا ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ إن يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَهَلْ نَجْعَلُ لَكَ خَرْجاً عَلَى أن تَجْعَلَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُمْ سَدّاًand it will be under such conditions that Allah will reveal to `Isa these words: `I have brought forth from amongst my slaves such people against whom none will be able to fight, so take these people safely to the mountain.'
