The second question of Fatwa number ( 6951 ):
Q2: Ya'juj and Ma'juj , who are mentioned in the Qur'an, did they exist on the face of the earth or in a world other than ours, and are they of the human species or not?
A2: They are of the human species, from the offspring of Adam, the father of mankind (peace be upon him), and they live on this earth in its farthest eastern part. And Allah the Exalted said regarding Dhul-Qarnayn : . So Dhul-Qarnayn and those he passed by in the west and the east, all of them are from the human species, from the descendants of Adam. If you wish to expand on this, read the story of Dhul-Qarnayn - Surat al-Kahf -
and its exegesis in the tafsir of al-Tabari , Ibn Kathir , al-Baghawi , and other reliable books of tafsir; so that you understand the story and know from it the answer to your question with extensive knowledge. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: The hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
And Allah the Exalted said regarding Dhul-Qarnayn :
Then He followed a path (89) until, when he reached the place where the sun rises, he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made anything to cover them from it (90) Thus, and We had encompassed with knowledge what was with him (91) Then he followed a path (92) until, when he reached between the two barriers, he found therefrom a people who hardly understood a word (93) They said: "O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Ya'juj and Ma'juj are corrupters in the land. So shall we make for you an expenditure that you make for us between us and them a barrier?" (94) He said: "What my Lord has established me in is better. So assist me with strength, and I will make between you and them a barrier." (95) "Bring me pieces of iron." Until, when he leveled it between the two mountains, he said: "Blow." Until, when he made it like fire, he said: "Bring me, I will pour on it molten copper." (96) So they were unable to overcome it, and they were unable to pierce it (97) He said: "This is a mercy from my Lord. And when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it broken, and the promise of my Lord is true." (98) And We will leave some of them on that day surging into some of them, and the Trumpet will be blown, and We will gather them together.
It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Allah the Exalted says: "O Adam," and he says: "At your service and obedience, and good is in Your hands." He says: "Bring out the people of the Fire." And he says: "Who are the people of the Fire?" He says: "Out of every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine." So at that time the young will turn white-haired, and every pregnant woman will drop her load, and you will see the people intoxicated, but they are not intoxicated, but the punishment of Allah is severe. So it became severe for them, and they said: "O Messenger of Allah, which one of us is that man?" He said: "Be glad, for from Ya'juj and Ma'juj there is a thousand, and from you there is one man...
