Explanation of the Book: The Beginning of Revelation, Faith, and Knowledge-02b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu al-Walid narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: Abdullah ibn Abdullah ibn Jabir informed me, saying: I heard Anas from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
Love for the Ansar is a sign of faith and hatred for the Ansar is a sign of hypocrisy. آية الإيمان حب الأنصار وآية النفاق بغض الأنصار
Sahih al-Bukhari 17
.

The Shaykh :
The sign of faith آية الإيمان
means its sign,
And the sign of hypocrisy وآية النفاق
means its sign, and in this is evidence that faith has a sign and hypocrisy has a sign.
And it is evidence that loving the Ansar is part of faith. At the head of the Ansar are the Ansar who were in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Then there are many Ansar, even in the previous nations. So the disciples said to Jesus:
We are supporters for Allah نحن أنصار الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:52]
Thus, everyone who loves the supporters of Allah, whether they are specified by person or by description, this indicates his faith.
And everyone who hates the supporters of Allah, whether they are specified by person or by description, this is evidence of his hypocrisy, may Allah protect us from that. Yes. Khalid?

The questioner : Does the term "Ansar" mean the supporters of Allah or the tribe?

The Shaykh : No, the intended meaning is the Ansar who supported the Messenger, and the Ansar who supported the Messenger after the migration and before it when they pledged allegiance to him are from al-Aws and al-Khazraj.

The questioner : And after them, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes, and after them, those from al-Aws and al-Khazraj and others returned. So I told you that the Ansar are specified by person and by description. Yes.

The questioner : Does the term "hypocrisy" mean major hypocrisy that expels one from the religion?

The Shaykh : No, it is not apparent, but there is no doubt that major hypocrisy is hating those who are the supporters of Allah. The one who commits major hypocrisy hates those who support Allah.
