Explanation of the Book of the Beginning of Revelation, Faith, and Knowledge-03b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abdullah ibn Muslimah narrated from Malik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ata ibn Yasar, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you." أريت النار فإذا أكثر أهلها النساء يكفرن ، قيل : أيكفرن بالله ؟. قال : يكفرن العشير ويكفرن الإحسان ، لو أحسنت إلى إحداهن الدهر ثم رأت منك شيئًا قالت ما رأيت منك خيرًا قط
Sahih al-Bukhari 29
.

The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar. As you see, this hadith uses the term disbelief (kufr) for the denial of the husband, meaning the denial of the husband. It is called "ashir" (husband) because he is a companion to his wife and she is a companion to him, as Allah the Exalted said:
and live with them in kindness وعاشروهن بالمعروف
.
It also uses the term disbelief for the denial of grace and kindness, as he said:
and they disbelieve in kindness ويكفرن الإحسان
.
It also uses the term to describe a general category, even if it is not realized in every individual of that category, because the denial of the husband and the denial of kindness is not in every woman among women. However, the nature of women, by their creation, is that they deny the husband and deny kindness. The point of this heading and the hadiths mentioned in it is the indication that the term disbelief is used, but it does not mean the disbelief that expels one from the religion. Yes.

The questioner : The statement of the Companions: It was said: Do they disbelieve in Allah? After the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
they disbelieve... يكفرن ...
, is this considered an interruption or a pause of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) at the word "disbelieve"?

The Shaykh : No, no, absolutely not an interruption. It is a question about this general statement.

The questioner : Meaning, he paused at this word?

The Shaykh : Yes, I do.

The questioner : He paused.

The Shaykh : Yes, Yahya?

The questioner : In this hadith:
and I found that most of its inhabitants were women فإذا أكثرهن النساء
and the hadith:
A woman entered the Fire because of a cat دخلت النار امرأة في هرة
, does this mean that there are people in the Fire who are being punished?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is possible that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was shown the Fire depicted to him in the end.
As for the hadith of Amr ibn Hay and the hadith of the woman being punished for the cat and the owner of the iron hook, this is something that preceded the message. There is no harm in seeing them being punished in the Fire of Hell because they preceded him, but those who come after may have the end depicted to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : What did we say, brothers? We said this and that. We said both are possible. Yes, that is three.
