If someone were to say: What is the meaning of the angels fighting alongside the believers at Badr, when one of them would have been sufficient?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: What is meant by the angels fighting alongside the believers on the day of Badr, when one of them would have been sufficient?

The Shaykh : It is also known that if Allah had said to these disbelievers, “Be dead,” they would have died. The matter is not one of inability or ability. The descent of the angels was to strengthen the hearts of the believers and to participate with them in this, which is a form of support for the believers and victory through protection. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said:
That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others ذلك ولو يشاء الله لانتصر منهم ولكن ليبلوا بعضكم ببعض
[Muhammad 47:4]
