Continuation of the commentary on Tafsir al-Jalalayn: ((So his judgment is with Allah)) On the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Now we understand that the author (may Allah have mercy on him) was brief in his explanation of the verse in his statement:
And Allah is the Guardian والله هو الولي
where he restricted it to the believers with the special guardianship. He was also brief here "
its ruling is [to be referred] to Allah فحكمه إلى الله
[Ash-Shuraa 42:10]
On the Day of Resurrection He will judge between you "
This is also a deficiency, and the correct view is that his judgment is with Allah in this world and the Hereafter.
That is my Lord, upon Him I rely ذلكم الله ربي عليك توكلت
That is, and that passes by us often, so why does the letter kaf differ from one place to another? The answer is that the kaf is according to the one being addressed, and the demonstrative pronoun is according to the one being indicated. And here is a test for you: the kaf is according to the one being addressed, and the demonstrative pronoun is according to the one being indicated. Now, point to a singular male while addressing a singular male.
The student: That.

The Shaykh : That is correct. Point to two while addressing two.
The student: Those two.

The Shaykh : Those two to you. "Those" is the one being indicated, and "to you" is the one being addressed. Those two to you. Now, point to a female while addressing a male.
The student: That.

The Shaykh : No, you have now made the woman a male.
The student: That (feminine).

The Shaykh : That (feminine) is correct. Yes, that (feminine), because the indication for a female is with the taa: that (feminine). Now, point to a female while addressing two females.
The student: That (feminine) to you two.

The Shaykh : That (feminine) to you two. Good, that is enough. Praise be to Allah, we have understood. There is no need to cover all the examples. The demonstrative pronoun is according to the one being indicated, and the kaf is according to the one being addressed. Good.
Here
That is my Lord ذلكم الله ربي
the demonstrative pronoun is according to the one being indicated, because you are pointing to the Name of Allah
That is my Lord ذلكم الله
which is singular, and He is addressing a group
That is my Lord ذلكم الله ربي
That is my Lord: subject, and Allah: explanatory apposition, my Lord: predicate of the subject. This means that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) must declare to these people that Allah the Exalted is his Lord and that he has no Lord other than Him. And we said "and that he has no Lord other than Him" because both ends of the sentence are definite. Because both ends of the sentence are definite, and when the two ends of a sentence are definite, it indicates exclusivity. If we asked a questioner: What is the word "upon" connected to? We would say: It is connected to "I rely." What is "to" connected to? We would say: To "I turn back." So the operator is delayed after the operated-upon in:
Upon Him I rely عليه توكلت
and in:
to Him I turn إليه أنيب
The rule among rhetoricians is that if what is due to be delayed is advanced, that is evidence of exclusivity.
so upon Him I rely فعليه توكلت
It is like "I do not rely except upon Him"
to Him I turn إليه أنيب
It is like "I do not turn back except to Him."
upon Him I rely عليه توكلت
Meaning I entrusted my affair to Allah with complete entrustment. And reliance upon Allah is not like reliance upon humans. Reliance upon humans means that you appoint him to buy something for you, and this is a specific entrustment. It is also an entrustment in which you believe that you are the one in control of the matter, meaning that if you wished, you could remove him and cancel the agency. But your reliance upon Allah is entrustment to Allah in everything, and you cannot cancel the agency. Even if you did cancel it, Allah the Mighty and Majestic is your agent. And by this we know the difference between when a person says: I relied upon so-and-so, meaning that I appointed him, and I relied upon Allah. Is relying upon Allah like appointing so-and-so? No, absolutely not. Even though the two words are the same, the two meanings differ greatly. Notice, my brothers, "I relied upon so-and-so" means I entrusted him with my affair, and it is up to me to dismiss him whenever I wish. But "I relied upon Allah" means I entrusted my affair to Him, relying upon Him, Exalted and Majestic is He, in facilitating and easing my affair. And at that time, we do not say that one who relies upon a person to buy something is associating partners with Allah. We do not say this, because the great difference appears between my reliance upon the person I appointed to buy a need and my reliance upon Allah. My reliance upon Allah is entrustment and seeking help, but upon a person, it is not; it is usage in reality. My entrusting him or my reliance upon him in the agency is a form of usage. For this reason, whenever I wish, I say: I do not rely upon him and I dismiss him. But as for reliance upon Allah, it is not so. So what is reliance upon Allah? We said: Entrusting the affair to Allah the Mighty and Majestic with complete entrustment. Some of them say: Sincere dependence upon Allah — meaning reliance — sincere dependence upon Allah the Mighty and Majestic in bringing benefits and repelling harms, along with trust in Allah the Mighty and Majestic. It is explained like this: Sincere dependence upon Allah in bringing benefits and repelling harms, along with trust in Allah the Mighty and Majestic. Does reliance upon Allah the Mighty and Majestic mean abolishing the means? No. For this reason, if it were said to a man: Marry so that children will come to you, and he said: I am relying upon Allah, is that acceptable or not? It is not acceptable, because children do not grow on the roof. Do the means and rely. And in the proverb: " Tie it up — meaning the camel — and rely " Do not let the camel go and say: I am relying upon Allah. If you let the camel go, it will go wherever it wishes, even if you are relying upon Allah. Do the means. If a person were told: O so-and-so, seek provision, sell, buy, do the means by which money is obtained, and he said: Absolutely not, I am relying upon Allah, is he sincere? This is the reliance of the negligent. If you are sincere in your reliance upon Allah, do the means. But do not depend on the means; make the means a means, and the Manager is Allah the Mighty and Majestic.
"
and to Him I turn وإليه أنيب
I turn back "
I turn back to Allah the Exalted in my worships and in all my circumstances.
