On the fact that the word "basit" indicates expansiveness and abundance, not scarcity, as is customary among the general public.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
There is a note regarding an error that has become widespread among people. When something is small, they say, "This is basit." This is wrong, because basit in the language means expansion and multiplication. So do not say, "This is basit." Say, "This is easy" or "This is little." If it is regarding the quality, say, "It is easy." If it is regarding the number, say, "This is little." We ask Allah the Exalted to encompass us and you with His mercy, and to guide us and you to what He loves and is pleased with.
