What is the ruling on appointing a person to announce the funeral to the people?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The prescribed practice is to say: “Pray for the deceased,” or “the deceased,” or “the funeral.”

Answer:
This is by way of notification, if the need arises, so that the people know it is a funeral. This is by way of notification. If the rows are numerous and it is feared that they will not understand or know, then it is necessary. But if there are few people, no notification is needed.
Q: If the appointment is for: a man, a woman, or men?
The Shaykh: If he specifies, there is nothing wrong with it, so he says: “O Allah, forgive her and have mercy on her,” or “O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him.” And if he does not specify, there is no blame on him. If he says: “O Allah, forgive him,” that is sufficient; it covers everyone.
