Continuation of the Shaykh’s speech on the hadith of Hudhayfah regarding the separation from the sects.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So, unity is necessary, but unity does not mean forming blocs, partisan politics, and division. The sign of the saved sect and the community is that they love good for all Muslims and practically realize his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself. لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحبَّ لأخيه ما يحبُّ لنفسه
Sahih al-Bukhari 13
. The true Muslim who holds fast to the Book and the Sunnah looks at those who form blocs and engage in partisan politics, who are contrary to the Sunnah, with a look of pity and mercy. At the same time, he does good to them and wishes them well, and the greatest good is guidance. It does not mean he turns away from them or cuts them off; rather, he maintains ties with them as long as they maintain ties with him. If they cut him off, he extends his hand to them with affection, love, and mercy. But if they turn their backs and depart, we have no way over them. So, gathering is one thing, and partisan politics is another. It is known in the reality of parties that they attack all others and claim that the only group to which one must belong is them, and no one else. We must distinguish between the Muslim community that cooperates on the Book and the Sunnah, and the partisan group that does not look at other groups with that first, pure Islamic eye. That is all I have.
