Continuation of the explanation of the author's statement: His saying, the Exalted: (( ... . . . . . And on the Day of Resurrection they will disavow your association of partners with them, and none can inform you like one who is well-informed )) the verse.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Allah the Exalted said:
And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم
[Fatir 35:14]
"
On the Day of Resurrection, when people are gathered, as Allah the Exalted said, they will be their enemies and will disavow your association of partners with them. If these are idols that are resurrected and gathered, their disavowal of your association of partners with them is apparent, meaning like those who invoke 'Azir or the Messiah or the like. These are resurrected and they disavow the association of partners with them. But if they are stones and trees, then we take the apparent meaning of the verse and say that Allah the Exalted personifies these things on the Day of Resurrection, so they disavow whoever associated partners with them. Thus, the stone will be before them on the Day of Resurrection and will have speech with which it speaks, disavowing their association of partners with it, and so it is with trees and others. For this reason, He said:
And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم
[Fatir 35:14]
And what indicates that these idols are resurrected is what is established in *al-Sahihayn* from his saying, peace and blessings be upon him, that when the Fire is resurrected,
It will be said to every nation: "Follow what you used to worship besides Allah" يقال لكل أمة لتتبع كل أمة ما كانت تعبد من دون الله
And this indicates that they are resurrected and personified for them. And His saying, the Exalted:
And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters]. ولا ينبئك مثل خبير
[Fatir 35:14]
This is in reality a parable from the parables, and it is from the Noble Qur'an, but it was not heard before the Qur'an. "None can inform you like one who is well-informed" means that none informs you about the well-informed one like a well-informed one. Who is the well-informed one regarding this matter? It is Allah, because no one knows what will happen on the Day of Resurrection except Allah. It is as if He is saying, "And this news is true because the one who informed you about it is well-informed about it." And this means that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, informed us of a matter that no one knows except Allah, and it is truthful news because Allah says:
and who is more truthful than Allah in statement. ومن أصدق من الله قيلا
[An-Nisa 4:122]
.

The questioner : Personifying with this parable

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Personifying with it

The Shaykh : how

The questioner : Personifying with this parable

The Shaykh : With this, what?

The questioner : Personifying with this parable
And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters]. ولا ينبئك مثل خبير
[Fatir 35:14]
.

The Shaykh : This is a parable used for one who informs of news and sees doubt in the one he addressed with it, saying: "None can inform you like one who is well-informed." Yes, I now recall the saying of 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) to one who came to ask her about a matter that occurred. She said to him:
It fell upon the well-informed one على الخبير سقطت
Meaning, the well-informed one is the one who knows the hidden aspects of things, so he is knowledgeable about everything related to this case.

The questioner : Regarding those who invoke the awliya (close friends of Allah), we say to them: They do not hear their supplication. They say: Is not the response to the greeting heard? When one says, "Peace be upon you, abode of a people of believers," do they hear the response to the greeting?

The Shaykh : We say that there is scholarly disagreement regarding whether they hear the greeting. Some scholars say they do not hear it, and that the phrase "Peace be upon you" is a supplication not intended as direct address. Then, on the assumption that they do hear it, as came in the hadith that Ibn 'Abd al-Barr authenticated and Al-Albani weakened, that when a person greets someone he knows in this world, Allah returns his spirit to him so he responds to the greeting—if this hadith is authentic—if they hear the greeting, it does not follow that they hear everything. And even if it is assumed that they hear things other than the greeting, what Allah explicitly stated is that they do not hear... We say: They do not hear. If Allah says they do not hear your supplication, and we say they do not hear, this is a denial based on the Qur'an. Thus, it becomes clear that it cannot be contradicted in any way. It cannot be contradicted by his saying:
Peace be upon you, inhabitants of the dwellings who are of the community of the believers السلام عليكم دار قوم مؤمنين
Sunan Abi Dawud 3237Sahih (Al-Albani)
in any way against this verse, even if it is assumed that the dead hear everything spoken about them, they do not hear the supplication of those who invoke them, by the explicit text of the Qur'an.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Meaning, hypothetically, if they heard, they would not respond to you. Meaning, hypothetically, if they heard, they would not respond to you, because the end of the verse does not invalidate its beginning; its end does not invalidate its beginning.
