One who leads the prayer without having performed ablution, having forgotten

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The imam led a congregation in prayer without having performed ablution, having forgotten. What is the ruling on this prayer in the following cases:
1- If he remembers during the prayer?
2- If he remembers after the taslim but before the congregation disperses?
3- If he remembers after the congregation has dispersed?

A: If he did not remember until after the taslim, the congregational prayer is valid and they do not have to repeat it, but the imam has to repeat it.
As for if he remembers while he is in the middle of the prayer, he should appoint a substitute to complete the prayer with them, according to the more correct of the two opinions of the scholars, due to the story of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) . When he was stabbed, he appointed 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) to complete the prayer with them, and he did not start over. And success is from Allah.
