How should one who is afflicted with frequent passing of gas perform the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I suffer from a chronic illness in the colon, which causes the passage of odors, especially during prayer. Due to the frequency of this, I have begun to doubt my prayer, even when I smell an odor from any other source, I imagine it is from me. What should I do during the prayer? Is it obligatory for me to perform ablution when doubt occurs? And is it permissible for me to lead the prayer if the followers are not proficient in recitation?
A: The original state is the continuation of ritual purity, and it is obligatory for you to complete the prayer and not to pay attention to the whispers of Satan, until you are certain that something has come out of you by hearing the sound or by the presence of the wind that you verify is from you; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was asked about the man who feels something during the prayer, he said:
He should not return (from prayer) unless he hears a sound or perceives a smell (of passing wind).لا ينصرف حتى يسمع صوتًا أو يجد ريحًا
Sahih Muslim 361
It is agreed upon as authentic.
There is no harm in you being the imam if you are more proficient in recitation than those present, provided that the state of impurity is not continuous, but rather occurs to you at times. Whenever the state of impurity occurs, the prayer is invalid, whether you are the imam, a follower, or praying alone. And whenever the state of impurity occurs while you are the imam, appoint a substitute to lead the rest of the prayer for the specific group of people behind you.
We ask Allah for health for us and for you.
