The Meaning of Connecting the Friday Prayer to Another Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I would like an explanation of this hadith: It is narrated from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid that Mu'awiyah said: "When you have prayed the Friday prayer, do not connect it to another prayer until you speak or leave. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us not to connect one prayer to another until we speak or leave."

Answer:
This hadith was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih. It indicates that when a Muslim prays the Friday prayer or any of the other obligatory prayers, he must not connect it to another prayer until he speaks or leaves the mosque. Speaking is done with the remembrances that Allah has prescribed, such as saying: "I seek forgiveness from Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah. O Allah, You are Peace and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor," when he concludes the prayer, and the various types of remembrance that Allah has prescribed thereafter. By doing this, the separation from the prayer becomes complete, so that it is not thought that this prayer is part of the previous one.
The purpose of this is to distinguish the prayer one has finished from the other prayer. So, when one concludes the Friday prayer, he should not connect it to a voluntary prayer, lest he or others believe that it is linked to it or that it is obligatory for it.
Likewise, the other prayers, such as Zuhr, 'Asr, Maghrib, 'Isha', and Fajr, must be separated by speech, such as dhikr or other speech, or by leaving the mosque, so that it is known that they are not connected to what came before them.
