Ruling on connecting one prayer to another

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I would like an explanation of this hadith: It is narrated from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid that Mu'awiyah said: "When you have prayed the Friday prayer, do not connect it to another prayer until you speak or leave. For the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us not to connect one prayer to another until we speak or leave."

Answer:
This hadith was narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, and it indicates that when a Muslim prays the Friday prayer or any of the other obligatory prayers, he must not connect it to another prayer until he speaks or leaves the mosque. Speaking is done with the remembrances that Allah has prescribed, such as saying: "I seek forgiveness from Allah. I seek forgiveness from Allah. I seek forgiveness from Allah. O Allah, You are Peace, and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, O Owner of Majesty and Honor," when he says the closing salam, and with the various types of remembrance that Allah has prescribed after that. By this, his separation from the prayer becomes complete, so that it is not thought that this prayer is part of that prayer.
