The commemorations held for the deceased

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Where did the commemoration held for the deceased on the third day after his burial come from?

A: It was innovated by those who were ignorant of Islam and what is obligatory for them regarding the preservation of its fundamentals and branches. They do not have a sound religious conscience; rather, they are steeped in the traditions of the people of misguidance. Therefore, it is a newly introduced religious innovation in Islam, and it is rejected by the Shari'ah, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.من عمل عملا ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
