Ruling on giving all of one's zakah to a debtor to pay off his debt

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I have a married brother who is poor and has a debt, and a married sister whose husband is poor and has a debt. Is it permissible for me to give all of my zakah to them? If the zakah covers their debts, or to give them a portion of my zakah?

A: There is no harm in giving the zakah to them if they are Muslims and have a debt that your zakah covers which they are unable to pay off; because they fall under the saying of the Exalted:
Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needyإِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاء وَالْمَسَاكِينِ
[Surah al-Tawbah: 60]. And success is from Allah.
