It is prescribed for the Muslim to give much in charity, even if it is little

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: The questioner, Brother A. A. M. from Buraydah, says in his question: Some people, when asked to help someone or the like, say: "Am I the guardian of Adam over his descendants?" My question to you, O honorable father: Is there any harm in such a statement from the perspective of Islamic law? We ask you to kindly clarify. May Allah reward you with good.

A: This phrase has no basis, and it is not appropriate to answer anyone with it. Rather, it is prescribed for the Muslim to spend from what Allah has given him, even if it is little; for Allah the Exalted said: :
Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.
[Al-Hadid: 7], and He the Exalted said:
So fear Allah as much as you are able and listen and obey and spend [in the way of Allah]; it is better for your selves. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.
[Al-Taghabun: 16], and there are many verses in this meaning. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Protect yourselves against Fire even if it is with half a date, and he who does not find it, (he should do so) with pleasant words.
Sahih Muslim 1016c
, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever gives in charity the weight of a date from lawful earnings, and Allah does not accept except what is pure, Allah will accept it with His Right Hand and will grow it for its owner as one of you grows his foal or his calf, until it becomes like a mountain.
, and there are many hadiths in this meaning. It is prescribed for every believer to give much in charity, even if it is little, so that he may find its reward with his Lord when he is in greatest need of it. And success is from Allah.
