The ruling on a fasting person swallowing his saliva

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is the ruling on a fasting person swallowing his saliva?

Answer: There is no harm in swallowing saliva, and I am not aware of any disagreement among the scholars regarding this, due to the difficulty or impossibility of guarding against it. As for phlegm and mucus, it is obligatory to expel them if they reach the mouth, and it is not permissible for a fasting person to swallow them because it is possible to guard against them, unlike saliva. And success is from Allah.
