Question:
Is it permissible for a person to swallow his saliva while he is fasting?

Answer:
Ordinary saliva is fine to swallow. However, if it contains thick phlegm, one should not swallow it; he should spit it out. He should spit it out. There is no harm in ordinary saliva, which is the ordinary water in the mouth, and praise be to Allah.
