The ruling on one who intended to perform tamattu' but then decided to enter ihram for ifrad

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: I had intended to perform Hajj as a mutamatti', but when I arrived in Ta'if, I changed my mind and responded to the call for Hajj as an ifrad. If I want to sacrifice on the day of Eid, is that permissible? Please note that I shortened my hair on the fourth of Dhu al-Hijjah. I ask Allah to reward you with good for us.

Answer: If a pilgrim or anyone else wants to sacrifice, even if he has already shaved his head, shortened his hair, or trimmed his nails, there is no blame on him for that. However, if he resolves to sacrifice for himself after the month of Dhu al-Hijjah has entered, he must refrain from taking anything from his hair, nails, or skin until he sacrifices; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the month of Dhu al-Hijjah enters and one of you wants to sacrifice, let him not take anything from his hair, his skin, or his nails.إذا دخل شهر ذي الحجة وأراد أحدكم أن يضحي فلا يأخذ من شعره ولا من بشرته ولا من أظفاره شيئًا
narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih.
As for his entering ihram for Hajj as an ifrad, having intended to enter ihram for 'Umrah and then deciding after reaching the miqat to enter ihram for Hajj, there is no blame in that. However, tamattu' with 'Umrah to Hajj is better if his arrival is during the months of Hajj. As for if his arrival in Mecca is before the month of Shawwal enters, what is prescribed for him is to enter ihram for 'Umrah only.
