Explanation of the author's statement: It contains issues. The first: his disapproval of the one who said: "We seek intercession with Allah against you."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It contains issues. The first: his disapproval of the one who said: 'We seek intercession with Allah against you'" This is from the glorification of Allah, and his saying:
Do you know what Allah is?
and his saying:
Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone
Sunan Abi Dawud 4726Da'if (Al-Albani)
All these phrases indicate disapproval of the one who said: "We seek intercession with Allah against you."
"The second: his change in demeanor, which was recognized in the faces of his companions" from his saying:
he continued declaring His glory till the effect of that was apparent in the faces of his Companions
Sunan Abi Dawud 4726Da'if (Al-Albani)
and the fact that he repeated "Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah." This is a change that was recognized in the faces of his companions due to this phrase. This is evidence that this phrase is a great, disapproved phrase.
"The third: that he did not disapprove of his saying: 'We seek intercession with Allah against you'"
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
we seek you as our intercessor with God
Mishkat al-Masabih 5727
Why? Because he said:
Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone
Sunan Abi Dawud 4726Da'if (Al-Albani)
Is that clear?
"The fourth: the indication regarding the interpretation of 'Subhan Allah'" How is the indication? Because his saying:
That the affair of Allah is greater.
is evidence that He is free from what? From everything that diminishes that greatness, and that He is free from every deficiency.
"The fifth: that the Muslims asked him for rain" due to the saying of the Bedouin:
We seek intercession with Allah against you and with you against Allah.
For what purpose?
The student: For seeking rain.

The Shaykh : For rain, for rain and rainfall. And the author's saying: "that the Muslims asked him" this is only during his lifetime. As for after his death, they do not ask him. If they asked the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) after his death to send them rain, that would be major shirk (associating partners with Allah). Because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) after his death cannot ask Allah. His deeds are cut off, his worship is cut off, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
That when a person dies, his deeds are cut off except for three.

So, for this reason, we know that the story narrated about the Utbi man who came to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and tethered his mount at the grave and said: "O Messenger of Allah, Allah says:
And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
[An-Nisa 4:64]
And I have come repenting to Allah the Exalted, seeking nearness to Him by asking Him to forgive me." Then he said, reciting:
"O the best of those buried in the vast plain, the greatest of them *** So the springs and the hills became sweet from his sweetness
My soul is the ransom for the grave in which you dwell *** In it is chastity, and in it is generosity and nobility"

And that he saw in a dream that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him and said: "Allah has forgiven you." This narration is false and has no validity, because its author is unknown, and the narrators who narrated from him are also unknown. It cannot be authentic because the verse is
And if, when they wronged
[An-Nisa 4:64]
and it did not say "If they, when they wronged" and "when"
The student: When it has passed.

The Shaykh : When it has passed, unlike "if." And the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), when drought struck them in the time of 'Umar, they did not ask for rain through the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), but they asked for rain through al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib. 'Umar said:
O Allah, we seek Your nearness through our Prophet, so grant us rain. And we seek Your nearness through the uncle of our Prophet. Rise, O Abbas, and call upon Allah.
So, what are the benefits after a second?
It contains that a person should prioritize the attributes that necessitate the conjunction, due to his saying:
The souls were weakened, the children were hungry, and the wealth was destroyed.

It also contains: showing mercy to the sinner, if we say that "waihak" is a word of mercy.
