Continuation of the explanation of His saying, the Exalted: (And He is All-Knowing of everything)
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author said: [Al-Baqarah 2:29] This completes what preceded regarding the four attributes. That is, despite being the First, before whom there is nothing, He is All-Knowing of what will happen. [Al-Baqarah 2:29] The phrase "All-Knowing of everything" is one of the forms of generality that has never been restricted. There is no restriction on it. In "All-Powerful over everything," there is some restriction, which is that the impossible thing is not subject to power. But knowledge has no exception; there is no restriction. "All-Knowing of everything." So do we specify this generality to His actions and the actions of the servants, or not? Or is it just His actions? It is His actions and the actions of the servants. Good. The general and the specific, or just the general? What is the difference between them? For example, our knowledge that rain will fall via meteorology, is this general knowledge or specific? General. Our knowledge of how many drops are in it? And in what place this drop falls? And in what second or minute? This is specific. So is the knowledge of Allah by the general and the specific, or by the general only? By both. He knows the specific and the general. Good. Does He know what will occur and what has not occurred? Yes. It includes everything, what has occurred and what has not occurred. Yes.
Good. Does it include the necessary, the possible, and the impossible? Yes. Does it include this? Where do we take this from? "Everything."[Al-Baqarah 2:29] So the knowledge of Allah, the Exalted, is vast, comprehensive, and encompassing, with nothing excluded from it. His knowledge of the necessary is like His knowledge of Himself and of the perfect attributes He possesses, or not? Because Allah is necessary in existence, necessary in possessing the attributes of perfection, and He is aware of that. His knowledge of the impossible is like His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Anbya 21:22] And what do you say about this? Impossible? Impossible. So His knowledge [Al-Mu'minun 23:91] This is also impossible. [Al-Hajj 22:73] This is also impossible. And there are many examples of this.
The possible: The possible is all created things. Everything that Allah speaks of regarding the created things is from the knowledge of the possible.[An-Nahl 16:19] So the knowledge of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, encompasses everything. He is All-Knowing of everything.
Good. The definition of knowledge is: perceiving a thing as it is, without hesitation and without doubt. Did you understand?
What is the fruit that results from believing that Allah is All-Knowing of everything?
The fruit: The perfection of the mindfulness of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. That a person watches over his Lord and fears Him, such that he does not lose sight of Him where He has commanded him, nor see Him where He has forbidden him. You wanted to commit a sin, and the tranquil soul said to you: No, do not do it. Allah knows. You harbored ill will toward your brother, and the tranquil soul said to you: Do not harbor it. Allah knows. And the soul that commands evil said to you: Harbor it. Allah is a generous forgiver. Harbor it, and then repent. When? After forty years. That is, there are people now who commit sins, and we say: O brother, repent to Allah. He says:[Al-Ahqaf 46:15] After forty years I will repent. This is from the command of the soul that commands evil. The important thing is that belief in the knowledge of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, obligates for the person the perfection of mindfulness and fear of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, such that he does not lose sight of Him where He has commanded him, nor see Him where He has forbidden him. This is one of its benefits.
And among its benefits is also knowing a great attribute of the attributes of Allah, which is knowledge. He is All-Knowing of everything. Nothing is hidden from Him, Glorified and Exalted is He, on earth or in the sky.

بكل شيء عليمHad there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلاّ اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَاAllah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others.
Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose
