Continuation of the explanation of the author's statement and his saying: (… when I created with My Hand)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The attribute that no one shares with Him is not considered, which is Allah creating him with His Hand. This is why Iblis, when he wanted to belittle him, said:
Should I prostrate to one You created from clay?" أأسجدُ لمن خلقتَ طينا
[Al-Isra 17:61]
for whom you created, where he intended the person himself, disregarding his attribute of perfection. We have established that when one expresses with what is general and not rational what is rational, the meaning of the attribute is considered, not the meaning of the specific individual. From this is His saying, Exalted is He:
marry those that please you of [other] women فانكحوا ما طاب لكم من النساء
[An-Nisa 4:3]
and He did not say "whom," because the intent is not this specific woman, but rather the intent is?
The student: The attribute.

The Shaykh : The attribute. So here He said:
to what You created لما خلقت
meaning for this great described one whom I honored by the fact that I…
The student: Created him.

The Shaykh : Created him with My Hand, and He did not intend "for whom I created," meaning for this human being. Good. And His saying:
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
is like the one who says: "I sharpened with the pen." The pen is the tool of sharpening, the tool of sharpening. And you say, "I made this with my hand," so the hand here is the tool of making.
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
means that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, created Adam with His Hand, created Adam with His Hand. And here He said:
My two hands بيديّ
and it is a dual form, and the nun of the dual was deleted for the sake of
The student: The addition (i'dafah).

The Shaykh : the addition. Yes, because the nun of the dual and the sound masculine plural is deleted upon addition, just as tanwin is deleted. For this reason, the poet says:
"As if I am tanwin and you are addition, so where shall I find you? I do not settle in my place"
Meaning, we do not meet, you and I, in one place, just as tanwin and addition do not meet. The nun: when we inflect the dual and the sound masculine plural, we say the nun is here
The student: In place of

The Shaykh : In place of the tanwin in the singular noun, and the substitute has the ruling of the substituted. Just as tanwin is deleted upon addition, so the nun of the dual and the plural is deleted upon addition. Good.
My two hands بيديّ
means with two hands of Mine, but the nun was deleted for the sake of the addition in this verse. The rebuke of Iblis for his refusal to prostrate to what Allah created with His Hand, which is Adam (peace be upon him), is in it. And in it is the affirmation of the attribute of creation.
When I created لما خلقتُ
And in it is also the affirmation of the two hands for Allah, Exalted and Majestic. The two hands by which He acts, such as creation. Here, the two hands by which He grasps.
They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection وما قدروا الله حق قدره والأرض جميعا قبضته يوم القيامة
[Az-Zumar 39:67]
And by which He takes.
Indeed, Allah, Exalted is He, takes the charity and grows it as a person grows his foal فإن الله تعالى يأخذ الصدقة فيربيها كما يربي الإنسان فلوه
And so on.
Good. And His saying:
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
in it is also the honoring of Adam (peace be upon him), where Allah, Exalted is He, created him with His Hand. The scholars said: "And Allah wrote the Torah with His Hand and planted the Garden of Eden with His Hand" So these are three things: Adam, the Garden of Eden, and the Torah, all were in the Hand of Allah, Exalted and Majestic.
And in it is also the honoring of Adam, because Allah created him with His Hand. Perhaps, on this occasion, we do not forget what passed of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
for Allah created Adam in His own image إن الله خلق آدم على صورته
Sahih Muslim 2612e
And we mentioned that one of the two correct interpretations of it is that Allah created Adam in the form He chose and cared for. For this reason, Allah attributed it to Himself as an attribution of honor and respect, like the attribution of the she-camel and the house to Allah, and the mosques to Allah, Exalted and Majestic. So it is taken from this that Allah, Exalted and Majestic, honored Adam by creating him with His Hand, and that for this reason he deserved that the angels be commanded to prostrate to him. As it is in another verse, which indicates that Allah commanded him to prostrate, that the angels prostrate to him, because He taught him the names of all things. Yes, and there is no objection to the multiplication of the cause, because it has preceded us that one cause may have several causes, or not? So the husband, the paternal uncle, and the manumitter: three causes gathered in his right here
The student: Three.

The Shaykh : Three causes gathered in his right: he is a husband, a paternal uncle, and a manumitter of this woman whom he married; he manumitted her and married her. It is permissible for a person to manumit a woman and marry her, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) manumitted Safiyyah and made her manumission her mahr. So the cause may be multiplied with the unity of the caused, and the evidence may be multiplied with the unity of the indicated, as has passed.
