The Thirteenth Example: The saying of Allah the Exalted: {Or have they not seen that We created for them from what Our hands have produced, livestock?}
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The Thirteenth Example: The saying of Allah the Exalted: [Ya-Sin 36:71]" They said, "The apparent meaning of the verse is that Allah the Exalted created the livestock, and foremost among them the camels, with His hand, making it like His saying the Exalted about Adam that He created him with His hand. And they said, 'If you divert the hand here from this meaning, you have engaged in figurative interpretation.'"
"And the answer is: It should be said, what is the apparent meaning and reality of this verse such that it is said to have been diverted from it?
Is it said that its apparent meaning is that Allah the Exalted created the livestock with His hand, just as He created Adam with His hand?
Or is it said that its apparent meaning is that Allah the Exalted created the livestock as He created other things, not creating them with His hand, but the attribution of the work to the hand, and the intended meaning being its owner, is known in the Arabic language in which the Noble Qur'an was revealed".
This is the truth, otherwise the livestock would be better than many of the children of Adam. In any case, they confused us with this verse and said, "You mentioned that the meaning of His saying:[Ya-Sin 36:71] is 'from what We produced,' and this is distortion and figurative interpretation. And this verse is no different from His saying about Adam: And the answer is: There are differences between the two verses:
First: Allah the Exalted said in the verse of Adam: So He attributed the creation to Himself, then He said: But here He said 'from what Our hands have produced,' attributing the work directly to the hand. There is a difference between the two. There is a difference between saying, 'I cut the meat with the knife,' where you are the cutter and the knife is in the position of a tool, and saying, 'The knife cut the meat.' There is a clear difference between them.
Second: The verse of Adam is limited to the attribute which is the hand, due to His saying: So it is limited. How many? Two. But [Ya-Sin 36:71] is a plural, and the plural is intended for magnification, not a limited number. Is that clear? So there is a difference between them.
And thus, do not confuse us with this verse, and listen to the answer.
Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock
