Explanation of the author's statement and his saying: (Blessed is the name of your Lord, the Owner of Majesty and Honor)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author said: And his saying:
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. تبارك اسم ربك ذي الجلال والإكرام
[Ar-Rahman 55:78]
Blessed تبارك
The scholars said: Its meaning is "Exalted and Magnified," and it was said that the meaning of "Blessed" is that the blessing is in the name of Allah, meaning that if the name of Allah accompanies something, the blessing becomes present in it. For this reason, it came in the hadith:
Every important matter that does not start with praise of Allah, is devoid (of blessings). كل أمر ذي بال لا يبدأ فيه ببسم الله فهو أبتر
Sunan Ibn Majah 1894Da'if (Darussalam)
meaning deficient in blessing. In fact, the invocation of the name makes the thing lawful, and its absence makes it forbidden. If one invokes the name over the slaughtered animal, it becomes lawful, and if one does not invoke it, it becomes forbidden carrion. And there is a difference between the lawful, good, and pure, and the impure, foul carrion. In fact, many of the scholars say that if a person invokes the name over the purification from a state of ritual impurity, it is valid, and if he does not invoke it, yes
The student: It is not valid

The Shaykh : It is not valid. If a person invokes the name over his food, Satan does not eat with him, and if he does not invoke it, Satan eats with him. If a person invokes the name over his intercourse and then a child is destined to be between them, Satan will never harm him. And if he does not invoke it, the child is exposed to the harm of Satan. So we say that
Blessed تبارك
here does not mean "Exalted and Magnified," but it must mean that the blessing has settled by what? By the name of Allah. So "Blessed is His name" means that His name is the cause of the blessing if it accompanies something
And his saying:
the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor. اسم ربك ذي الجلال والإكرام
[Ar-Rahman 55:78]
one who is ذي
means the Owner, and it is an attribute of
Perhaps رب
not of
Name اسم
. If it were an attribute of
Name اسم
, it would be
The student: "Dhu" (Owner)

The Shaykh : And "Majesty and Honor"—their meanings have been mentioned to us before. "Majesty" means greatness, and "Honor" means honoring. It is fitting that the honor be from Allah for those who obey Him, and from those who obey Him for Him.
