Explanation of the author's statement: They see Him, Glorified and Exalted is He, while they are in the gathering places of the Resurrection, and then they see Him after entering Paradise, as Allah the Exalted wills

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"They see Him while they are in the gathering places of the Resurrection":
"Gathering places": This is the plural of "arasa," which is a wide, spacious place with no buildings, called an arasa. It may also be called the courtyard of a house, because the spacious area in front of it is called a courtyard.
The believers see Allah in the gathering places of the Resurrection before they enter Paradise, as Allah the Exalted said:
(4) Do they not think that they will be resurrected (5) For a tremendous Day - (6) The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? ألا يظن أولئك أنهم مبعوثون ليوم عظيم يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:4-6]
, then He said in describing the book of the wicked:
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day كلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:15]
meaning that on that day, people will stand before the Lord of the worlds
veiled لَمَحْجُوبُونَ
.
And they see Him likewise after entering Paradise.
As for the gathering places of the Resurrection, the people in the gathering places are of three types: believers who are pure in appearance and in reality, disbelievers who are pure in appearance and in reality, and those who are believers in appearance but disbelievers in reality, who are the hypocrites.
As for the believers, they see Allah the Exalted in the gathering places of the Resurrection, and after entering Paradise.
As for the disbelievers, they do not see their Lord in any way. It is said: They see Him, but it is a vision of anger and punishment. However, the apparent evidence indicates that they do not see Allah, as Allah the Exalted said in the verse we mentioned:
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَمَحْجُوبُونَ
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:15]
.
As for the hypocrites, they see Allah, Mighty and Majestic, in the gathering places of the Resurrection, then He veils Himself from them, and they do not see Him after entering Paradise, because they do not enter Paradise. Good.
And the author's statement: "as Allah wills": This means that this vision, they see Allah as He, Glorified and Exalted is He, wills regarding the manner of their seeing Him, and as Allah wills regarding the time of their seeing Him, and in all circumstances, meaning: in the manner that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, wills in this vision.
And thus, the manner of this vision is not known. The manner is not known in the sense that a person does not know how he sees his Lord. But the meaning of the vision is known, is it not known? The meaning is known. It is known that they see Allah as they see the moon, but in what manner? We do not know that, as Allah wills.
