Explanation of the author's statement: "But the brotherhood of faith remains even with sins, as the Exalted said in the verse of retaliation"
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : All right. The author said: "But the brotherhood of faith remains even with sins", meaning that the brotherhood between believers remains even with sin. So the fornicator is a brother to the chaste one, and the thief is a brother to the one who is content, is that not so? Yes, indeed. And the killer is a brother to the one who was killed, even though he is the doer of the sin. But the people of the Sunnah and the community do not declare anyone a disbeliever on the basis of sins and major sins in general. Rather, the brotherhood of faith remains even with sins, as Allah the Exalted said in the verse of retaliation: [Al-Baqarah 2:178].
What is the verse of retaliation? It is His saying, the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:178] "His brother" means the one who was killed; "his brother" means the one who was killed. And "he" refers to the killer, meaning that any killer who is forgiven should follow what is right and pay him with kindness.
The point of indication from this verse is that the doer of a major sin does not become a disbeliever. The reason for this is that Allah called the one who was killed the brother of the killer, even though killing is a major sin among the major sins by consensus. So did the brotherhood cease, while Allah says:?
Answer: No.
And the benefit of this is that if I see a sinner, I do not leave off greeting him; rather, I initiate the greeting to him, and there is no blame on me. Because those whom we were forbidden to initiate with the greeting are the disbelievers, such as the Jews and the Christians and others.
As for a Muslim man, even if he is an open sinner, what must I do? I must treat him as a believer. However, if the believer has not mixed harm with his faith, my treatment of him is stronger and my loyalty to him is more intense. Because, as we mentioned earlier, what is attached to a description increases with its increase and decreases with its decrease.
He said: "And as Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Hujurat 49:9]"
He said: There is a problem here: is plural, is dual, is that right? is dual. How can it be dual and plural and another dual, while the reference is the same?
We say: Because His saying: "A group" is a large number of people, is that not so? So it is correct for me to say: "They fought." And for this reason, Allah the Exalted said, meaning that the proof for this is His saying, the Exalted: [An-Nisa 4:102] and He did not say: "Did not pray." He said: [An-Nisa 4:102] So a group is a nation and a community, and for this reason the pronoun returned to it in the plural: .
[Al-Hujurat 49:9].
Two groups among the believers fought, and they took up arms against each other. Taking up arms against a believer, or rather a believer fighting a believer, what is that? It is disbelief. Is that right? And insulting him is open sinfulness.
And despite this, Allah said.
But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up
