Reading and commentary on the poet's sermon: And it is impossible for the heart to remember one who is hostile to His attributes, repelled from hearing them, turning away from them entirely, and claiming that safety lies in that. Nay, by Allah, it is nothing but ignorance and abandonment, and turning away from the Mighty, the Merciful. The sound heart is never more eager for anything than for knowing its Lord (Glorified and Exalted is He), His attributes, His actions, and His names, nor is it ever happier with anything than with that. It is sufficient for a servant to be blind and abandoned that he erects a canopy of turning away, repulsion, and driving away over his heart, and occupies himself with that which, if it were true, would not benefit except after knowing Allah and believing in Him, His attributes, and His names.

The reader: (may Allah have mercy on him) "And it is impossible for the heart to remember one who is hostile"

The Shaykh : that it remembers
The reader: "And it is impossible for the heart to remember one who is hostile to His attributes, repelled from hearing them, turning away from them entirely, and claiming that safety lies in that.
The second heart is a heart struck by the whips of ignorance, so it is blocked from knowing its Lord and loving Him, and the path to knowing His names and attributes, as they were revealed to it, is blocked. It has swallowed"

The Shaykh : ... its path
The reader: "And the path to knowing His names and attributes, as they were revealed to it, is blocked, and it has swallowed doubts from false speech and drunk from stagnant, useless water. The verses of the attributes and their hadiths are repelled by it to Allah"

The Shaykh : with a damma
The reader: "And their hadiths to Allah with a repulsion, and it groans to their abode with a groan over what it inflicts upon them of distortion and denial of the divine attributes, interpreting their meanings with alteration and change. It has prepared for repelling them various types of weapons and arranged for rejecting them"

The Shaykh : from
The reader: from the weapons

The Shaykh : or the weapons, from the weapons, the plural of ...
The reader: "It has prepared for repelling them various types of weapons and arranged for rejecting them various kinds of laws. And when called to submit to their judgment, it refuses and becomes arrogant, saying: 'Those are verbal proofs that do not yield anything of certainty. It has prepared figurative interpretation as a fortress"

The Shaykh : a fortress
The reader: "It has prepared figurative interpretation as a fortress to shield itself"

The Shaykh : How? It has
The reader: "It has prepared figurative interpretation as a fortress to shield itself"

The Shaykh : a fortress
The reader: "A fortress to shield itself from the arrows of the Sunnah and the Qur'an, and it makes affirming the attributes of the Majestic One ascribing a body to Allah and likening Allah to creation, thereby turning hearts away from the path of knowledge and faith. It mixes the merchandise of beneficial knowledge inherited from the Seal of the Messengers and the Prophets"

The Shaykh : the Seal
The reader: "From the Seal of the Messengers and the Prophets, but it is full of doubts and doubts, argument and dispute. False speech has stripped it of the stripping of ignorance and making ignorant, so it stumbles over the trails of thinking about the people of hadith, and innovating against them and declaring them misguided. It has circled the doors of opinions and schools of jurisprudence, begging from their masters, then it turned away with the most worthless gifts and desires, deviating from the lowly doors"

The Shaykh : Ah?
