The Shaykh : Good, this passage also says, may Allah have mercy on him: Make your weapon two things: the Book of Allah and the established Sunnahs, not every Sunnah that is mentioned, but the established Sunnahs. Make them your weapon. Then call out to these cowards, saying: Who will duel? Can anyone duel one whose weapon is the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? This duelist’s weapon is nonsense, lies, fabrication, deception, and embellishments. Can he or cannot he? Absolutely not. A single verse from the Book of Allah shatters everything he brings from these embellishments until it destroys them.
Then he said: "Proclaim what the Messenger said". We are commanded to proclaim what the Messenger said and not to fear the fewness of helpers and supporters, even if you are alone. Yes, proclaim what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said and do not fear the multitude of those who rise against you and oppose you. The one who proclaims what the Messenger said will either find a supporter, or find no supporter, or find an opponent. The first, who finds a supporter, clearly will proclaim because he has one to help him. The second, who finds neither this nor that, but finds one who turns away, may also become lazy if he sees that what he proclaimed from the words of the Messenger has not been heeded by anyone. And the third, who finds the opponent who... restricts him and comes against him with claims, but all of this must be nothing in the face of... And this does not mean it is only in matters of creed; it is in creed, in jurisprudential rulings, in manners, and in morals. Proclaim what the Messenger said in word and deed, and do not fear the fewness of supporters. The people before you are either a helper, one who turns away, or an opponent. So do not mind, even if before you is only one who turns away and one who opposes; do not let it concern you.
And he also says: Do not fear the plotting and stratagem of these people, for what do they fight with? With lies, slander, and false, disguised embellishments. Also, their soldiers are the armies of Satan, whereas your soldiers are the angels of the Most Merciful. You are supported by the angels. For this reason, the Messenger used to say to Hassan ibn Thabit while he was reciting:
O Allah! Support him (i.e. Hassan) with the Holy Spirit? اللهم أيده بروح القدس
Sahih al-Bukhari 3212

And he also says: It is incumbent upon us to clarify their points of defeat, meaning where they are defeated. He clarifies... We say: Argue with their needs thus, debate them thus, as al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said regarding the Qadariyyah: "Debate them with knowledge; if they acknowledge it, they are defeated, and if they deny it, they are disbelievers"... They clarify their points of defeat for us so that we can defeat them with what invalidates their words. Yes.
