Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh:
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Ali 'Imran 3:102]
,
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[An-Nisa 4:1]
,
(70) O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. (71) He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
, As for what follows:
Indeed, the best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and the worst of matters are their innovations, and every innovation is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire.
We addressed the issue of image-making in the previous meeting, and a discussion took place, and some discussion occurred regarding this issue concerning the type of forbidden images. Is this prohibition specific to three-dimensional images or those that have a shadow, or does this prohibition also include those without a shadow, or non-three-dimensional images? It was also discussed whether the forbidden image-making includes photographic images as well, according to those who say that the prohibition includes, as we mentioned or referred to earlier, non-three-dimensional images. Some of the brothers in the previous meeting referred to a reference to the book *Al-Halal wa al-Haram* by Professor al-Qaradawi, and it appeared that it is necessary to study this issue from this very book, and discuss the evidence he presented, relying on it to permit non-three-dimensional images, and even to permit three-dimensional ones if the intention is not to exalt other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic). It seems that this research addressed by the professor includes... useful, but it has no relation to the subject referred to earlier. Therefore, it may be useful to skip many of the book's paragraphs as long as they do not address the subject referred to earlier, unless the brotherThe questioner : thinks that we should study the chapter from beginning to end, then there is no objection from me. What is your opinion? Considering.
The student: regarding non-three-dimensional images.

The Shaykh: regarding images.
The student: non-three-dimensional.

The Shaykh: non-three-dimensional, okay.
The student: ... concerning the image itself...

The Shaykh: ... from the title: "Images of paintings and engravings, i.e., non-three-dimensional images." Okay, before that, we read some paragraphs from what the author presented that has a complete relation to the subject... .
