One who dies while ill does not need to have fasting made up on his behalf

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: His Eminence Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz (may Allah preserve him)
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
This is a woman asking, and she says: During the blessed month of Ramadan, my mother fell ill on 18/9/1414 AH with a severe illness, to the point that she was compelled to break her fast, so she did. On 25/9/1414 AH, death overtook her and she passed away.
1: Is it permissible for me to fast the days that remained for her?
2- And does she fast the days she was ill, or the days after her death? May Allah reward you with the best reward.

Answer: And upon you be peace, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, after that:
You do not have to make up the days your mother broke her fast, because she was excused by a valid legal excuse and did not live to make them up. Likewise, you do not have to make up the remaining days of the month on her behalf. May Allah guide them all, and peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
