The ruling on one who breaks his fast due to illness and whose illness continues until he dies

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says in another question: My wife’s mother was suffering from an illness that confined her to her bed. In the month of Ramadan, the doctors forced her to break her fast, and she fasted only five days of that month. Her illness continued until Allah took her at the end of that year. Do her children have to fast the days she missed due to the illness? Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If she died while ill, then her children, nor anyone else, have to make up the fasts, praise be to Allah. Yes, it is forgiven for her; because Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other daysوَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ
[Surat al-Baqarah: 185]. And she was taken while ill; so she owes nothing, and it is not made up on her behalf, praise be to Allah. May Allah forgive us and her.

The presenter : O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good.
