Working in the departments of interest-based banks that have no direct connection to interest

Question:

Banks nowadays contain interest-based transactions, and they contain non-interest-based transactions. Those who work in them may have their salaries derived from lawful transactions, not from forbidden transactions. What is the ruling?

Answer:

But it is by them that interest is established, and by them that the bank is established. If they had not been employed, the prohibition would not have been established. Thus, they have assisted in establishing the existing banks and engaging in interest. We ask Allah for safety.
