The ruling on taking a replacement shoe for one’s lost shoe in the Haram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Whenever I go to the Haram to perform sa’y or tawaf, I leave my sandals in a place in the Haram, and when I return, I cannot find them. Is it permissible for me to wear others; that is, sandals that are present, or should I walk barefoot on my feet? You know the heat of the asphalt outside the Haram, and considering that there are many sandals in the Haram that belong to no one?

Answer: You must keep them in a secure place, or keep them in your hands; walk around with them. The matter is easy, or perform sa’y and tawaf with them, if they are clean, and praise be to Allah. Even if you perform tawaf and sa’y with them on your feet. Do not be negligent, and do not take people’s sandals. Just as you do not like someone to take your sandals, do not take people’s sandals. And if you are compelled by the heat; wear some of the sandals that are present until you get out of the heat, then wear new sandals after you buy them, then return these sandals to their place. If you think they do not belong to anyone; as a precaution, return them to their place, so that their owner may find them. Otherwise, be patient with the scorching heat, and be glad of good, if Allah wills, until you reach your place.
