Divorce pronounced in anger is not effective, even if repeated

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz to the honorable brother, the esteemed judge of the Harrah court, may Allah preserve him.
Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings. After that:
O Beloved, your noble letter number (486), dated 7/11/1398 AH, has been received, may Allah guide you. I understood what you mentioned regarding the divorce of husband Y. M. from his wife by saying, "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced," seven times. It is noted that he had previously divorced her once, and the witness's testimony is that when he uttered the final divorce, he was in extreme anger, and he swore to that effect.

Answer: Based on what has been mentioned, I issue the ruling that the divorce referred to is not effective, and his wife remains in his marriage bond; because the evidence from the Shari'ah indicates this. Among this evidence is the famous hadith from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no divorce and no manumission at the time of coercion.لا طلاق ولا عتاق في إغلاق
Sunan Ibn Majah 2046Hasan (Darussalam)
It was narrated by Imam Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah, and al-Hakim graded it as authentic. A group of scholars, including Imam Ahmad, interpreted "compulsion" as coercion and anger. I hope you will inform everyone of this. May Allah reward you and thank you for your efforts.
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
