The Ruling on Eating the Honey Badger

Question: Some of the brothers permit eating the honey badger, and they say: Your Eminence has permitted its consumption. We ask you to inform us about this—may Allah reward you with good.

Answer: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: , so the honey badger is game by the explicit text of the authentic hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
And Allah has a ruling regarding it. Those who know its meat and have tried it say that it has many benefits for many diseases. The point is that it is lawful. If one slaughters it, cleans it, removes what is in its belly, and cooks it, then it is lawful like other types of game.
