What does one do if he learns that his wife has repented from a bad past?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A man married a wife, and after the marriage he repented, while he did not know that her past had been bad?

Answer:
If she is a Muslim, there is nothing wrong with it. If she is a Muslim but she had sins and then repented, praise be to Allah. However, if she is a disbeliever, it is not permissible for a Muslim to marry a disbeliever if she is not from the People of the Book, such as a polytheist. But if she is a chaste woman from the People of the Book, he may marry her.
Q: She is a Muslim, but he learned that she used to commit unlawful sexual intercourse?
The Shaykh: The marriage is valid as long as her outward appearance is one of repentance and goodness.
