How is the marriage conducted if the guardian is the suitor?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the guardian is the suitor, does he take on both sides of the contract?

Answer:
Yes, and there is a prohibition against wronging orphans, and it is not permissible to wrong orphan girls. Rather, it is obligatory for their guardian to marry them off. Some people may wrong her for the sake of her wealth, hoping she will die so he can inherit from her, and thus he delays marrying her off. This is a form of injustice. Rather, he must marry her off as soon as a suitable suitor proposes to her, and he has no right to hold her back. If he desires her and she desires him, there is nothing wrong with him marrying her and taking on both sides of the contract.
