Ruling on drawing human body parts other than the head

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Does drawing some human body parts other than the head, such as the hand or the leg, fall under the ruling on image-making?

Answer:
The head is the essence of the image—the image of the head—while the rest is not included. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded by Jibril to order the head of the statue to be cut off so that it would be like a tree. Drawing the hand, the leg, or any organ for the purpose of looking at it or contemplating it, such as the heart or the lung to examine some of it, or for a need among needs, does not fall under the complete image. As for the head, it is included.
Q: Blurring it?
A: Ink or paint is put on it.
Q: Drawing it by hand?
A: By hand or otherwise, it is all image-making.
