Q: Allah the Exalted said:
And if they do not respond to you - then know that the Qur'an was revealed with the knowledge of Allah and that there is no deity except Him. Then, would you [not] be Muslims?
[Hud 11:14]
And because the static nun assimilated into the lam in the word (fa in lam) at the beginning of the verse was not written, and because it was written in several places in the Mushaf despite its assimilation, except in this verse, as far as I can see. I hope you will grant me a fatwa regarding the reason for not writing the static nun in this verse.

A : The Muslims have agreed upon the obligation of writing the Mushaf in the Uthmanic script, and that it is not permissible to deviate from it to any other type of script; for this reason, the scholars have paid attention to the rules and guidelines of the script in discussions in books of the sciences of the Qur'an, such as: (Al-Itqan) by Al-Suyuti - may Allah have mercy on him - and in standalone books on the script, such as: (Iqadh al-A'lam bi-Wujub Ittibā' Rasm Mushaf al-Khalifah 'Uthman al-Imam) by the Shaykh Muhammad al-Khadir al-Maliki - may Allah have mercy on him - and among these rules of the Uthmanic script is: (The Rule of Separation and Connection), and one of its examples is verse 14 of Surat Hud:
But if they do not respond to youفَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ
[Al-Qasas 28:50]
the verse. It is written without a nun, and there is no other similar instance in the Qur'an,
and this is what the scribes of the Mushafs agreed upon, as in the book (Al-Musahif) by Ibn Abi Dawud - may Allah have mercy on him -. Some scholars of recitation have sought secrets behind the differences in the forms of the script, but the position of the experts in recitation is to adhere to this without straining to uncover its secrets, and that the Noble Qur'an is a miracle in its wording and its meaning, and this is one of the aspects of its miraculousness in its wording. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
