What is the ruling on taking the tax on protected non-Muslims from those who are not the People of the Book?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : One of the most important points in the hadith of Buraydah is that it contains evidence for accepting the tax on protected non-Muslims from those other than the Jews and the Christians. It is established in Sahih al-Bukhari that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the tax on protected non-Muslims from the Zoroastrians of Hajar. Some scholars claimed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it from the Zoroastrians of Hajar because they have a resemblance to the People of the Book, but this claim is not correct. Rather, he took it from the Zoroastrians of Hajar because it is taken from every disbeliever. It is not hidden that taking the tax on protected non-Muslims involves humiliating the disbeliever. And his presence among us, being protected and preserved, helps him toward Islam.
So the correct view is that the tax on protected non-Muslims is taken from every disbeliever. If he refuses the tax on protected non-Muslims, he is fought. Yes.
