The Shaykh expressed regret over the disagreement among the Salafis.

The Shaykh : And I was deeply grieved when it reached me, and then one of the Salafi brothers there called me. He had visited us here, and some of our brothers who are sitting here were present. It turned out that the Salafi group there in the Hijaz, and perhaps more so than in the Hijaz, had split into two factions, as I mentioned, there in Abu Dhabi. The group that is with us in not engaging in politics is carrying out very fierce campaigns against Salman and Safer, and they harbor bad suspicions about them. A discussion took place between me and them, these people who hold such suspicions, and I strongly denied to them that this is permissible. This means we must bear it if we find that some of them hold an opinion contrary to what is known among us as a group. For example, the Salafi call does not recognize fanaticism for a specific person or a specific opinion; rather, it is the argument, the proof, and the evidence. This is what I have reached so far, before I personally contacted the two individuals mentioned. They are with us in the call, but they may have knowledge in some aspects that the other brothers do not share, or they may have some independent legal reasoning in some legal issues that is subject to review. The truth may be with them or with others. It should not be the case that such a difference in some details becomes a cause of division. We all know that the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who are described in the Noble Qur'an as the best nation produced for mankind, differed in some issues. If such differences occurred today, the ranks would split due to this fanaticism and the failure to return to the rules and principles. This is all I have on this topic.
