The reciter: And Asim ibn al-Nadr al-Taymi narrated to us, and Mu'tamir narrated to us, saying: I heard my father narrate to us, and Qatadah narrated to us, saying: I heard Anas ibn Malik. And Ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, and Abu Dawud narrated to us, and Hammad narrated to us. And 'Abd ibn Humayd narrated to us, and Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and Shayban narrated to us, all from Qatadah, from Anas, similar to the hadith of Ibn Abi 'Arubah.

The Shaykh : The conquest is mentioned in several places in the Qur'an, among which are:
His saying, Exalted is He:
Indeed, We have given you, [O Muhammad], a clear conquest إنا فتحنا لك فتحاً مبيناً
[Al-Fath 48:1]
, and His saying, Exalted is He:
Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought لا يستوي منكم من أنفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل
[Al-Hadid 57:10]
, and His saying, Exalted is He:
When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest, إذ اجاء نصر الله والفتح
[An-Nasr 110:1]
. As for the first two, they refer to the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, and as for the last one:
When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest, إذا جاء نصر الله والفتح
[An-Nasr 110:1]
, it refers to the Conquest of Makkah.
